Sherbino Literary Living Room presents Joan Shapiro

Doors at 6:30, reading and Q&A with author at 7:00 followed by open mic readings-located in Courtyard at 610 (610 Clinton St), enter through 610 Arts Collective.

Joan Shapiro, author of Stolen Seasons: Observations, Poems, Lyrics and Rants, has an A.B. In Comparative Literature from Indiana University and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis. She practiced psychotherapy in St. Louis and macrotherapy in Missouri. She now lives in the San Juan Mountains in southwestern Colorado with her dog Cupcake. She plans to publish a children’s book entitled The Dog Poem: House Rules in the near future.

Joan is interested in collaborating with songwriters to compose music for some of the lyrics in Stolen Seasons. For more information, songwriters may visit her website, which will be activated in June, 2023, following publicaton of Stolen Seasons, also in June, 2023.
