Sometimes, a place simply claims a person.

Such is the case with Colorado craftsman John Billings. In 1992, this native Californian, known as the “Grammy Guy,” visited Ridgway for the first time. He felt instantly connected with the high alpine landscape and discovered a deep sense of belonging.

Thursday Sept. 27, Doors and bar at 7:30, Music at 8:00 $10 in advance, $13 at the door From the Mountains... With Joy... Of Love... LET THEM ROAR weaves Mountain Folk into a soulful tapestry of Roots, Rock, and Raw Improvisations. A group bent on bringing their hearts to the stage and sharing the meaning and purpose of their lives. Each member honors their historical roots while pushing their creative boundaries. LET THEM ROAR’s music reflects their home, which is nestled deep in the heart of the Elk Mountains where a confluence of Culture – farmers, immigrants, naturalists, adventurists, artisans and musicians; & Wildlands – free flowing rivers, big mountains, wildlife and migrating birds – come together in a richly laden land known as Carbondale, Colorado. LET THEM ROAR has a live album and two studio EPs. Emerging from the studio with a new recording project, they are contemplating community-based performances and tours. They have performed in premier venues and festivals throughout Colorado and have opened for bands such as Elephant Revival, Pato Banton, Tab Beniot, Paper Bird, Hit & Run Bluegrass, Hellbound Glory, Band of Heathens, and so much more. Her Soul-Stirring Voice in combination with lush arrangements of toe tapping road stories had the Los Feliz Journal (Los Angeles, CA) naming her "Beautiful I Love You" album a top 10 indie pick of the year. Cohn's songs pay homage to artists like Joni Mitchell, Sarah McLachlan and the Counting Crows, with tunes ranging from personal reflections to musical contemplations of social issues, love and spirituality. Raised in a small town in Eastern Washington, Cohn started singing before she started talking, and music has always been an integral part of her journey. A full-time musician since 1999, Cohn has released many critically-acclaimed independent releases, has gained notoriety with her songs placed in popular TV shows and continues making her live shows the centerpiece of her musical endeavors.
