Every year, insurance agent Bob Finhead’s whacked out friends and clients stop by his small-town Iowa office for their annual holiday bash. The town mayor, the sheriff, the twin farmers, the stoner, the town floozy and the pastor’s wife have already RSVP’d for this year’s event. But Bob has dreams of a bigger life and wants to escape their narrow-minded thinking. Will he be able to fulfill his dream of becoming a professional inventor and move to the big city, or will he come to realize how much he is the heart and soul of the town? Will any of this matter once the party stars, the bickering and fighting begins, and the drinks hit the floor?

One of L.A.s most “hilariously deranged” holiday theatre traditions, “Bob’s Holiday Office Party” is a silly drunken farce that’s more fun than an eggnog hangover! The most fun part of this play, aside from the terrific writing, is it’s ability to be slightly tweaked to give it a “Ridgway” feel.

We are asking that anyone with interest and availability email Colin Sullivan prior to October 31- the earlier, the better- and let him know your level of interest (lead role, supporting/small role, cameo, set design, etc) and your current availability during the rehearsal window (see below).

Open Call Auditions and Rehearsal Planning: November 1, 6-8 pm at the Sherbino
Rehearsals: Nov 2-Nov 29th (4-5 nights a week, w/break for Thanksgiving)
Performances: November 30-December 2 @7pm (Sherb)**December 2 show will begin at 8pm due to Noel Night, and a Sunday matinee is an option if audience demands

A Note on Rehearsals with Colin Sullivan: All Sherbino Theatre rehearsals will be designed around individual actor’s parts and personal schedules (i.e. We know you’re busy…not everyone will be rehearsing every night and note for the entirety of every rehearsal!) Bob’s Holiday Office Party is a short 3-4 week rehearsal process, with a break for the Thanksgiving holiday. Actors will be scheduled as-needed, but ALL actors must commit to full-rehearsals for our 3 days of tech and run throughs (Nov 27-29th), and the 3 performance evenings (Nov 30-December 2).

And our hope/dream/ambition is that this ridiculous, hilarious, ever-so-slightly raunchy holiday comedy becomes a yearly Sherbino tradition! Won’t you join us in being a part of something fun and new!?!?! Seriously- how can you not want to be a part of this?
