Part literary reading, part author interview, part open mic…Literary Living Room is the Sherbino’s dynamic year-round series featuring local and national literary artists of all persuasions. This month we’re excited to bring you decorated writer and NYU Professor, Scott Hightower.
SCOTT HIGHTOWER is the author of five books of poetry in the U.S. and two bi-lingual collections published by Devenir, Madrid. Part of the Bargain, his third book won the 2004 Hayden Carruth Award. “Imperative to Spare” is his most recent from Rebel Satori, New Orleans. Hightower’s translations from the Spanish have garnered him a prestigious Barnstone Translation Prize. When not teaching at New York University’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study, he sojourns in Spain.
