Part literary reading, part author interview, part open mic…Literary Living Room is the Sherbino’s dynamic year-round series featuring local and national literary artists of all persuasions. This month we’re excited to bring you a Lit Living Room that’s part concert, part poetry reading, featuring the engaging and talented, Jeanine Renée.

BIO:

Jeanine Renée is a Poet, Singer Songwriter, and a lover of small towns and freight trains. Her poetry and song lyrics have been described as ‘raw with grace’. Since childhood, growing up in the Allegheny Mountain Region of rural New York, Jeanine has rambled the backwoods, dirt roads, alley ways, and rail tracks wherever she has lived. Over time, the rhythms of these wanderings have shaken loose a rich telling of survival in poem and song.

Railwalker, is Jeanine’s first published collection of poems. She has currently recorded two full albums, Tell Me True and Plastic Madonna. Though perfectly at home with small town life, the troubadour in her loves traveling to read and perform her poems and songs for intimate audiences. Jeanine lives in the small town of Paonia, Colorado with her husband, Lou.
