It all started in Motor City.
Raised by two musicians, Gracie began singing before taking her first steps. Between her parents, teachers, and peers, her upbringing was surrounded by music and the performing arts. Before leaving for college she held a lead role in a number of plays and musicals, became involved in multiple bands, wrote and produced her own album, and taught music to help fund the next steps in her musical journey. Gracie’s hard work paid off when accepted at Berklee College of Music in the fall of 2011.
After three years in Boston, MA, Gracie blossomed into a more mature and professional musician. Her time at Berklee prepared her for the many musical endeavors to come. She has headlined festivals such as the Tucson Jazz Festival and Telluride Jazz festival with her upcoming Colorado band, J-Calvin. Gracie now lives in New Orleans and consistently works as a lead vocalist, composer, arranger, and teacher of music with an extensive repertoire in jazz, motown, blues, soul, gospel and r&b.
