Fête de la Musique
June 30 @ 4:00 pm
The much-anticipated Ridgway Fête de la Musique, presented by Weehawken Creative Arts, The Sherbino, and Citizens State Bank, will take place on Sunday, June 30, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. outdoors in downtown Ridgway and extends indoors at The Sherb after 8 pm. The outdoor event spans Clinton and Cora Streets and Hartwell Park, offering a vibrant musical experience with over 16 different acts, ensuring something for everyone to enjoy.
From a young budding pianist to Easy Jim playing the music of The Grateful Dead, from the lively Mariachi San Jose, to the captivating performances by Weehawken’s aerialists, the Ridgway Fête de la Musique promises a diverse and engaging lineup.
Other performers include Till Willis, D&G Railroad, Old Man Polly, Kyle Harvey, Heather and Doug, Christopher Paul Stelling, Stephan Davenport, Natalie Spears, Sweet T and Lady V, David Nunn, the Ridgway Wrecking Crew and more!
In addition to the music, the event will feature five food trucks and multiple beverage stations. Attendees are reminded that no outside alcohol is permitted, and pets should be kept on a leash. Children must be supervised to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
The festivities don’t end at 8 p.m! The celebration continues inside the Sherbino Theatre at 8:15 p.m. with the featured act, Sexbruise? — This satirical pop band, which was a huge hit at the Ridgway Prom event (for adults) back in February, is set to deliver another unforgettable performance.
This community event is made possible thanks to the generosity of many donors, including Linda Browning in honor of Patrick O’Leary, as well as Jay and Jackie Lauderdale, among others. Other key sponsors include Colorado West Investments, Ridgway FUSE, KVNF, Thinkst Canary, OCPAG and a full list of donors can be found on the event website at www.ridgwayfete.com.
Attendees are encouraged to walk to the event from their homes or use the municipal parking lots around town and then walk in. Bringing cash to tip the musicians and donating to support the event is also highly encouraged to help keep the event free for all.
