Emerging from the heart of the American blues tradition, the dynamic duo of A.J. Fullerton and Jake Friel has revitalized the genre with their authentic and deeply resonant sound. Raised in Montrose, CO., and Canton, OH, respectively, Fullerton & Friel blend the rich heritage of Delta Blues, Hill Country Blues, and Piedmont Blues into a captivating musical experience that honors the past while pushing the boundaries of the blues.

A.J. Fullerton has been a beacon in the Colorado & National blues scene for over a decade. Raised in Montrose, Colorado, A.J. grew up immersed in the sounds of iconic blues legends such as Mississippi John Hurt, Taj Mahal, and R.L. Burnside via his family record collection This deep-rooted influence is evident in his signature style, marked by intricate fingerpicking and evocative bottleneck slide guitar. A.J.’s prowess on the guitar and his soulful vocals have earned him numerous accolades, including several Colorado Blues Society “Members’ Choice Awards” for categories such as Best Guitarist, Best Solo/Duo, and Best Slide Guitar, among others. A.J.’s most recent solo album “Closer” debuted at #7 on the Billboard Blues Charts.

Jake Friel, hailing from Canton, Ohio, is a rising star in the blues and roots music scene. His journey into the blues was ignited by a deep admiration for the genre’s classic forms and its transformative power. Known for his ability on the harmonica, his vocals, and his compelling songwriting, Jake’s music reflects a profound respect for the blues tradition while bringing a fresh, contemporary edge.

Together, Fullerton & Friel are more than just a duo; they are a testament to the enduring legacy of blues music. Their partnership is a fusion of individual talents that, when combined, create a sound that is both timeless and innovative. Erik Stucky is a internationally touring producer, songwriter, and instrumentalist. Growing up in the rugged mountains of Western Colorado, Stucky picked up his first mandolin at the age of 8. Following the release of his debut album Stray Clouds in 2017, Stucky packed up his instruments and a single suitcase and pointed his pickup for Nashville. Since then he’s released his sophomore album, Good Vibrations, and held stages across the United States and Europe. In January 2024, he released his latest single, “Vigilante Love,” which has taken off following its national premiere on RFD-TV. The song has been featured by Dirt Road Country as well as Nikki in Nashville, and received over 23K streams on Spotify alone, so far.
