Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of The Rocky Horror Picture Show with a live, interactive shadow-cast performance at the Sherbino! In true Rocky Horror fashion, a local cast of costumed actors will perform in front of the screen—acting, dancing, and lip-syncing the movie in real time as the film plays behind them.
A shadow cast for Rocky Horror is a unique, immersive experience that turns the audience into part of the show. Expect call-outs, props, wild energy, and the infamous “Time Warp” dance. Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned fan, you’ll be swept into the cult-classic chaos that’s thrilled audiences for half a century.
Tickets are $15 plus a $15 supply fee, which includes all the props you’ll need to fully participate.
Arrive in costume and receive a special drink discount coupon at the door!
So come up to the lab and see what’s on the slab…
“Don’t dream it — be it.”
What’s a Shadowcast?
A shadowcast is part film screening, part live theater, and all outrageous fun. While the movie plays on the big screen, a costumed cast performs the roles live on stage—lip-syncing, dancing, and mirroring the action. The audience gets in on it too, shouting callbacks, singing along, and waving props at just the right moments. It’s an interactive experience that’s been thrilling audiences since the 1970s.
What to Expect
- Live Cast Performance: Stay tuned for the official cast lineup—we’ll be announcing who’s playing your favorite characters soon!
- Audience Participation: Whether it’s dancing the Time Warp, shouting your favorite lines, or joining in the call-backs, the audience is part of the show.
- Props Included: Your ticket comes with a curated prop bag so you can fully join the fun (no need to bring your own — but you’re certainly more than welcome to supplement!).
- Costumes Encouraged: Gather your friends, dress up, and lean into the camp—this is Rocky Horror, after all.
Tickets go on sale in early October. Mark your calendars, start brushing up on your Rocky Horror traditions, and get ready for two unforgettable nights of outrageous fun at the Sherbino.
Audience participation & props
Part of the fun is joining in—dancing the Time Warp, shouting classic lines, and (at many shows) using safe, venue-approved props at specific moments (think newspapers in the “rain,” rubber gloves during the lab scene, lights during “There’s a Light,” etc.). We’ll share our house rules and provide a recommended prop list so everyone (and our screen!) stays happy. First-timers don’t need to know anything in advance—we’ll guide you!
