After a year of keeping it in, the height of summer is time to let stories fly. Local author and storyteller Craig Childs comes to Ridgway with one of his signature performances, calling in the Summer Solstice with a two-night show, June 17 & 18. “Bright Night” will be a mix of spoken word, imagery, and live music, including blues raconteur Russ Chapman, winner of the 2017 Telluride Blues Challenge, and Ouray poet Samantha Tisdel Wright. These performers will explore the theme of ‘emergence’ in a powerful presentation that kicks off each evening at sunset.
Somewhere between Prairie Home Companion and Burning Man, this show will leave you charged up for summer and whatever else is coming. Sponsored by The Sherbino, it will be held behind the Ridgway Firehouse…
