6:10 at 610 Artist Reception: Four Seasons: Landscape and Wildlife Images of the San Juan Mountains by Gary Ratcliff

A resident of Ridgway, Gary Ratcliff photographs iconic settings in the San Juan mountains and seeks out seldom-visited locations following game trails in the summer and snowshoeing in the winter.

He uses precision camera equipment to produce large prints on a variety media including canvas, paper, acrylic and metal. His work has been published in regional visitor guides and received awards at the Ouray County Arts Association Art Show. His images can be seen on his website and Facebook page OurayImage.Com

"Four Season" will be on disply from July 1-31 at 610 Arts Collective (610 Clinton St.), open Monday-Friday 10:00 am-5:00 pm, with after hours showings available upon request.

A history of community

Established in 1915, the Sherbino has been the heart of Ridgway Colorado, providing a venue for community events ranging from music to poetry. Now in a period of re-birth, the Sherbino continues to standout as the hub of events and community activities in Ridgway and throughout Ouray County. On February 11 2012 the Sherbino incorporated as the Ridgway Chautauqua Society Inc. whose mission is to embody the Chautauqua tradition by producing programs celebrating lifelong learning, the arts, culture and community.
