610 GALLERY OPEN: Annual Regional Exhibition

Join us in celebrating our local creatives with our first annual regional artist exhibition. Award categories will be in Mayor’s Award, Best in Show, 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes awards.

Eligible two dimensional media include painting, drawing, printmaking, pastel and mixed media, photography, hanging sculpture or woodwork. Three dimensional non-hanging artwork are not eligible. Work may not exceed 24” in height or width, including frame. Work must be suitably framed and ready for hanging. Drawings, prints, watercolors and pastels must be under Plexiglass or glass. All work, glass, and frames must be clean, undamaged and ready for a show. 

All work will be for sale. 70% proceeds from sales will go to the artist and 30% proceeds will go to 610 Gallery, Ridgway Chautauqua Society.

Hand-delivered work must arrive on Monday, April 8th, Tuesday, April 9th, and Wednesday April 10th from 10:30am to 4:00pm. Shipped work must arrive by Wednesday, April 3rd in a sturdy, reusable container. No plastic peanuts, please. Artists are responsible for shipping costs to and from gallery and insurance in transit. Return shipping must be prepaid through UPS or FedEx. Artists shipping from abroad are responsible for their artwork clearing customs and arriving in time at the gallery.

All applications must be submitted with the piece and fee on April 8, 9, 10, 2019.

A history of community

Established in 1915, the Sherbino has been the heart of Ridgway Colorado, providing a venue for community events ranging from music to poetry. Now in a period of re-birth, the Sherbino continues to standout as the hub of events and community activities in Ridgway and throughout Ouray County. On February 11 2012 the Sherbino incorporated as the Ridgway Chautauqua Society Inc. whose mission is to embody the Chautauqua tradition by producing programs celebrating lifelong learning, the arts, culture and community.
