EMG Photo2ABOUT Erika Moss Gordon: Erika lives in Ridgway with her two short and beautiful muses, where she writes poetry, works for a local film festival, teaches yoga, and resists daily the current administration with all her might.  Erika’s writing has appeared in Mountain Gazette Magazine, Fungi Magazine, Telluride Watch, Telluride Magazine, Telluride Inside and Out, Grand Junction Daily Sentinel, Salmonberry Arts and 99 Poems for the 99 Percent, a collection of poetry. Her most recent book, Phases, was winner of the Fledge Chapbook Award, published by Middle Creek Publishing in 2016. Her first chapbook, Of Eyes and Iris, was published in 2013 (Liquid Light Press).


MetrickABOUT Ellen Metrick:  Ellen Metrick the is, the am, the present participating participle holds an MA in Versecraft from Western State Colorado University and is a recently converted umbraphile (August 21, 2017, path of totality, near Casper, Wyoming). She teaches middle school English at Norwood Public School, is being raised by a teenager, and deconstructs landscape by walking where there are no trails with her sweetheart and partner in etymological explorations. She has two poetry collections –Poetisattva (WaterWoman Productions, 2000) and Teasing out the Divine (Mercury HeartLink, 2012), and has edited and written poems and prose for local and regional publications. She is working on ways to see every total eclipse, play on the stage, write about time and the stars, and still grade middle school essays about the best poems of the semester.

Now in a period of re-birth, the Sherbino continues to standout as the hub of events and community activities in Ridgway and throughout Ouray County. On February 11 2012 the Sherbino incorporated as the Ridgway Chautauqua Society Inc. whose mission is to restore the venue and to offer events and community focused program.
