The 2017/2018 Open Bard series kicks off with Wayne Miller of Denver, CO.

About Wayne Miller:

WAYNE MILLER is the author of four poetry collections, most recently Post- (Milkweed, 2016) which won the Colorado Book Award and the Rilke Prize for the best US book of the year by a “mid-career” poet. He has received the George Bogin, Lyric, and Lucille Medwick Awards from the Poetry Society of America; the Bess Hokin Prize from Poetry; a Ruth Lilly Fellowship from the Poetry Foundation; and a Fulbright to the Seamus Heaney Centre in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He has also co-translated two books by the Albanian poet Moikom Zeqo—most recently Zodiac (Zephyr, 2015), which was a finalist for the PEN Center USA Award in Translation—and co-edited three books, including Literary Publishing in the Twenty-First Century (Milkweed, 2016). Wayne teaches at the University of Colorado Denver and edits Copper Nickel.

On February 11 2012 the Sherbino incorporated as the Ridgway Chautauqua Society Inc. whose mission is to restore the venue and to offer events and community focused program.
