Support our efforts to restore the Sherbino

Our vision is to deliver a renovated facility that is beautiful, inspiring, highly functional, and environmentally responsible. The building must exhibit an enduring quality of materials and intelligent systems that reflect operational efficiency, minimal ongoing maintenance, and minimized carbon footprint.

Upon completion, the New Sherbino will offer a performance hall and acoustical environment unparalleled on the Western Slope, which will attract talented artists of all varieties. Doubled seating capacity and quality performances will bring greater patronage and more than triple the Sherbino's annual impact on the regional economy (in addition to an infusion of $2 million during construction). The finished product will attract additional visitors to our community, enhancing Ridgway as a tourist and cultural destination.

We aim also to provide new, inspiring meeting and event spaces for Ouray County's many nonprofit organizations. The building will be a model of technological innovation, serving not only as a "co-working" space with high-speed internet, but will also provide top-tier projection and sound systems that will allow program streaming from around the world in its state-of-the art space.

Most significantly, this project allows the Sherbino to continue its century-long reputation as Ridgway's gathering place, providing intelligent and entertaining programming for generations to come.

    Sponsor the Sherbino

Great communities have great community resources. The Ridgway Chautauqua Society is a community-based 501(c)3 focused on fulfilling Ridgway’s vision of creating an ecologically responsible community where learning, creativity and culture are at its core. And at the heart of that vision lies the Sherbino.

But, let's face it, entertainment is a tough business and made all the more complicated by the need to restore our facility. That's where sponsors come in!

Sherbino sponsors are local area business and regional foundations that make substantial financial commitments to specific programming, or to restore and operate the Sherbino.  Programming is what gives the Sherbino life, and below are just a few programs where sponosorship is greatly appreciated:

-Family Movie Nights:  SOLD!! Thank you Alpine Bank!

    -Theater

    -Live Music

    -Lectures/Sherb Talks

We're always looking for more support to keep our programs thriving, to keep the lights on, and to keep the Sherbino improving as a regional community resource. If your business is interested in sponsoring the Sherbino, please contact us by emailing, info@sherbino.org. We'd love to speak with you and appreciate your interest and support!

    Thanks to our sponsors!
